Adult Education - Human Resource Development

Welcome to the Adult Education / Human Resource Development program of James Madison University. We are located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and provide both undergraduate and graduate courses in Adult Education / Human Resource Development.

Our Mission

The mission of the AHRD program is to prepare professionals to design, implement, evaluate and lead appropriate interventions that promote learning, development and performance improvement in settings where adults learn and work. In addition to delivering effective instruction, AHRD professionals are also prepared to design ways to improve performance, facilitate change and enhance productivity and satisfaction for all employees.
