Transfer Students

  1. Come visit us at JMU!
  2. Apply for admission to JMU
    • Choose IDLS as your major and either Early Childhood or Elementary as your minor
  3. Once you have been accepted, you will receive an invitation to summer orientation and to teacher education sessions
  4. You will be assigned an education advisor and an IDLS advisor
  5. Your program will be planned to determine when you will start and finish your degree(s) and licensure program
  6. Apply for teacher education during summer orientation and meet criteria for acceptance in teacher education. More information can be found at http://coe.jmu.edu/esc
  7. PTEAA transfer agreement with BRCC, PVCC, and LFCC (see education advisor at these community colleges)
